Lily Dumont is one of the youngest and most accomplished burlesque performers on the British scene to date. Having performed nationally and internationally to critical acclaim, her work challenges preconceptions of mainstream body image and pokes fun at femininity and propriety. As well as her burlesque achievements, Lily is a feminist academic, actress, sex work/sex education activist and tribal bellydancer (to name a few of the strings to her bow) and is constantly pushing her own limits in performance and education.
The Erotic Awards nomination is extremely important to Lily on a personal level as, though it may not look like it, Lily does suffer from a disabling condition and the existence of the awards and their association with organisations such as the Leydig Trust is as crucial as it is liberating. She is genuinely thrilled to be a part of this event.
