Born 1970, live in Malmö, Sweden. My 'day job' is as an architect for IKEA, designing new stores. Some years ago I lived in Venice, Italy. The city is full of traditional women's handicraft. I was both amazed and provoked by it. I decided to learn how to embroider. The motifs you're supposed to embroider are very limited; flowers, religious or other suitable things. I felt like embroider something that usually doesn't get embroidered. That's how I started with the pornographic motifs. I find my pictures on porno sites on the internet translate them into stitching files and embroider. I make traditional women's things; towels, napkins, aprons, and also wall tapestries with sayings. Lately I've been working with vintage cross stitch pictures, where I've added things. I'm interested in the contrasts.I've exhibited my works in galleries and museums in Sweden but also at designersblock, London, Japan and Korea.
