London based fashion/fine art photographer Alice Hawkins graduated from Camberwell College in 2002, and quicker than a rat up a drain pipe, she was shooting editorial for international magazines including Pop, iD, Harper's Bazaar (usa), Russian & Brazilian Vogue.
The 3 images for this show are part of a personal project, "Sexy old Rockers." The inspiration for this series of portraits came when Hawkins encountered & photographed a "sexy old rocker" she bumped into in Walmart, Palm Springs. I caught a glimpse of her walking through the make-up section - she was a he, he was a rock god! I asked to take his photo and he lowered his shades and said, 'sure'. My little obsession had begun! I never thought Id meet his match in the UK, but I did.
