Night of the Seven Veils

The 11th Erotic Awards semi finals, The Night of The Seven Veils took place on Thursday 29th April 2004 at London's newly converted theatre-club, The Fridge, situated in Lambeth, near London's South Bank.

The night received rave reviews and we still await the article in The Sunday Times and Erotic Review.

Feedback so far -

Guests loved our new venue - romantic guilded cherubs bathed in the sparkles of a hundred disco balls. Our grand stage of sensuality was star back-lit. The show was presented by the performance artist El Tornedo and the beautiful Canadian pole dancer/striptease artist, Max, and filmed for BBC3. Stripper Mouse and our secretary Sarah sold raffle tickets. and the delectable Solitaire raised a sizable sum of money for the charity by exposing her jewelled butt plug in extraordinary table dances. A cheque for £1,000 was presented on stage, from our beloved Patron Malcolm Pearce.

The Grand Jury for Conspicuous Sexuality sat at the front of thirty five tables of guests, including The Erotic Review, Trustees and members of Outsiders, business colleagues, patrons, sponsors, friends and lovers.

The show had seventeen fabulously unique and spectacular acts. As well as the finalists we had an incredible striptease performance by Empress Stah who is sadly already booked up for the date of the finals. Her saucy trapeze rope act had the audience screaming. There was Natasha, a pre-op transsexual flamenco dancer, and an anonymous male gay act in black light.

By popular request, we had the honour of a show by the famous Rumpshaker whose enormous wanger protruded through the lips of a Marilyn Monroe mural, and terrified the lady he beckoned up from the audience.

The most moving part of the show was when an 'amateur' arrived on stage from the audience, still in her coat. She removed the coat to reveal a baby-doll outfit and, as she turned to face the audience, we recognised her as the retired stripper and director of the London School of Striptease, the one-and-only Jo King. She looked jubilant and rightly so, as she was seven months pregnant with 'bumpette,' her daughter-to-be.

The show ended with presentation of the raffle prize (holiday for two at Hedonism in Jamaica) and everyone on the dance floor.

As the only show of its kind, combining male and female striptease, professional and amateur with many kinds of performance art in a dignified theatre environment, it was almost impossible to obtain tickets, so if you would like to be a guest at the 2005 event, we suggest you apply for tickets well in advance. Our ticket saleslady is Emma on 0707 499 0808 or leydigtrust@yahoo.co.uk.

All our events are held in venues as wheelchair accessible as possible, and are disability-friendly, in respect for the charity we fund, and in order to include as many disabled performers and guests as possible.

As always, the money raised went to The Outsiders Trust (registered charity number 283350) for disabled people seeking partners.
